What are your daily affirmations?

I am the person I want to be today.

Boom. This affirmation came to me this week and it is powerful. Δοξα το Θεο!
I am the person I want to be today.
There is no backing out. I am. What does this mean?
It means I am stepping up to the plate.
It means I am the person I want myself to be, not the person that anyone or everyone else wants me to be, wishes I was, expects me to be, etc. 

I am the person I want to be today.

I say this, and immediately I go through the motions of what this person whom I want myself to be, who I AM in this present moment, would do today, to in fact be that person. There is no "will be". There is the present time only. As Janis Joplin said, "It's all the same #$%$# day, man"...

I am the person I want to be today.
This affirmation is not a people-pleaser. 
This affirmation does not let you back out of your goals and dreams.

One moment and one breath at a time.

Artists - we must shine our light into the world!
Art has the power to heal, to help us express ourselves, to process, to focus on the joy in our lives despite the fear, the sadness, the isolation that we are all experiencing.
I thank God for my family, artmaking, gardening, home and creative projects during this time. I can be a resource to other artists who are struggling - please do not hesitate to contact me if you need to talk.
Let's do our best to focus on faith, not fear.
Times are uncertain, and we don't know how long it will be before we can return to some type of normalcy. Whatever the new "normal" will be. Embrace the quiet, the cleaner air. Stay safe in your home, and reach out to the loved ones in your lives. When the thought comes to you to contact someone and check in, do it right then. Their lives may depend on it. I have lost 2 friends in recent years to suicide. The mental health struggle right now is real. A few kind words and just knowing you are there and sending love and good thoughts- is invaluable during a dark and frightening time. Please reach out, and shine your light into the world. The world needs it. Shine your talent, share your voice, share your artwork, share the amazing person who YOU ARE! We are isolated but we are not alone. We are together in prayer, in our hearts, in our spirit, and we will continue to shine, through this darkness, and into the light once more.
